Garden Gate home
Modeled the gate using Shapr3d.
Goofed a lot of the miter cuts on this project. On the left is the actual 45 degree angle setting for the cheap-o chop saw I have. I didn't realize how far off I was until after making many of the cuts. Big takeaway is to continuously measure while fitting. On the right, you can see how far off these miters really are. Proper fit is really important for these butt joints.
The mounting hardware was the jankiest aspect of this project. (Besides my welds). I couldn't find J-Bolts that would work so I made my own with some dowel and bolts. Despite appearances, the hardware works great.
